Sustainability

We have grown our business by offering the blessings of nature, such as wild vegetables, as ingredients for home use. Today, under our corporate philosophy of “Creating and Fulfilling Happiness,” we focus on processing vegetables and wild vegetables, with a mission to provide safe, delicious, and healthy food.
As food waste becomes a social issue, one of our employees felt it was a shame to see non-standard products generated during manufacturing being discarded. Inspired by this employee’s desire to “do something about this waste,” the CSR Committee (now the Sustainability Promotion Committee) was established in 2021. Members from various departments began learning about sustainability and the SDGs.
We believe that “sustainability means achieving what we can do without strain.” Without overreaching, we are gradually expanding our initiatives, including providing safe food, reducing environmental impact, minimizing food waste, creating a comfortable working environment, and supporting the future of children.
For our customers, the local community, and ourselves, we fulfill our social responsibility as a food manufacturer through initiatives aimed at realizing a sustainable society.
SDGs
Goals 2025
- We provide safe, delicious, and convenient ingredients, while also offering recipe suggestions and working to reduce food waste.
- We aim to create a work environment where balancing work and childcare is possible, and to become a company where employees can work healthily and for a long time.
- We are committed to reducing environmental impact and contributing to the local community.

Corporate Philosophy
Creating and Fulfilling Happiness.
We constantly strive to achieve and sustain the highest level of happiness.
By thinking independently and embracing challenges, we continuously create new sources of happiness.
YAMASAN FOODS Inc. was established in 1928.
We continue to supply traditional Japanese foods, specifically “wild vegetables,” across the country and have become a leading company in this category in Japan.
Our principles are “Safety,” “High Quality,” and “Satisfaction,” and we believe that we can bring happiness to everyone involved with us.
Recently, Japanese people have shown a preference for “convenient foods,” so we developed a special retort packaging technique and introduced a new type of “Cut & Mixed Vegetables” product. These products offer “Deliciousness, Safety, and Easy Cooking,” and are very popular in Japan. Now, we are starting to supply our products worldwide.
